In 1991, Pinnacle Property Company began acquiring strip shopping centers throughout Texas and Louisiana in joint venture agreements with a Texas life insurance company, which facilitated the acquisitions through a participating debt structure. Today, Pinnacle and Ellis Development Company own, manage and lease nine shopping centers totaling in excess of 900,000 square feet of gross leasable area.
